Karla Pittman, LCSW

From a young age, I felt a strong call to support others in navigating life’s challenges, a calling nurtured by the inspiring individuals in my life. My journey took me to the Blue Ridge Mountains for my undergraduate studies at Western Carolina University, and later to the coast, where I completed my Master of Social Work at UNC Wilmington.

I value showing up each day to walk alongside adults ages 18 and older, offering support to individuals and couples as they navigate life’s challenges. I support clients facing anxiety, depression, stress and overwhelm, grief and loss, trauma, self-esteem concerns, anger or behavior issues, postpartum or hormone-related changes, relationship or family conflicts, obsessive or intrusive thoughts, and major life transitions. I offer a compassionate space for healing, growth, and goal setting. For those who desire it, I also integrate Christian-based counseling, blending faith with evidence-based approaches to support whole-person well-being.

Beginning therapy takes courage, and my goal is to offer a safe, nonjudgmental space where honesty and authenticity can truly breathe. My approach is warm, collaborative, and strength-focused. I’m grateful for the opportunity to walk with clients as they explore whatever may be standing in the way of becoming their most fulfilled selves, uncover their resilience, and take practical, meaningful steps toward lasting change.

As someone who has navigated seasons of darkness and emerged with greater clarity and strength, I am honored to serve as a steady confidant and encouraging guide for others as they work through their own healing journeys and move toward a more fulfilling life.
